Krewe will get invited to GW2 testing, calling it now. It makes the most sense afterall for reasons already mentioned (game is old, etc...). Gather up the knowledgeable people from your first game to ensure the mistakes of the past don't occur in the new game. They'll weed out the less insightful players from the Krewe then bam, there's the GW2 alpha/beta testers.

If this Test Krewe also gets to test GW2, they'll shortly be flooded with applicants, like Blizzard currently is. Also could care less about PVP.

More like flooded with support requests from multiple accounts, as XTH voting is still LOCKED. And all they have to do is reset this beast.

Soooo stupid to be reacting to requests that are all the same and due to something they can easily (???) fix. I suspect it's a 1-button sort of fix, but whatever.

Default Another bumbling idea from ANET

4 years now and still can't get the skills right? We need more friggin balances etc? Please, it's been a really frustrating 4 years thus far.... how about leaving the friggin thing alone for longer? I suppose it needs to be trashed real good to make sure people move to GW2 for the new funds to come rolling in though?

I'm not knocking making profits.... just would like to have some frackin consistency instead of constantly dorking the skills and redorking them. Game is quite fun as it is... people wouldn't still be here enduring the devolutions if it wasn't, but find the programmers a diff job like actually fixing some memory leaks or something please.

I play GW nearly everyday/week but with all these exp I have under my belt i never felt comfortable playing HA GVG, hence my r4/5 Fame. (age18,Ok english)

1.Removing Heroes from GvG and HA is a Ok idea, but what about the existing hench? I would like them to get a update in skill bar if possible as well, just encase ppl lost connection or cause gw to crash to not give there allies a total disadvantage against other team just before a match (if u know what i mean)

2.more hench? will we have every possible prof now available for HA/GVG?

3.Skillbar, well i have my ideas and thoughts but I bet most wouldn't like it ^^
e.g. balance skills/ rune set but limited to 7/8 skills maybe?
or 8/8 balance skill but poor rune set?

I would just like to comment on removing heroes from GvG/HA and replacing them with henchmen. First I think most if not everyone agrees that it's better to have a full team of real players. However, there are times when people would like to GvG or HA and guild members are not available or have other priorities. Heroes are better than henchmen because you can pick the skills, Insignias, runes etc... more times than not heroes are better that PUGs. Also you have some control over the placement of the heroes. Henchmen always bunch together when they stop moving or run. It's like saying "Here we are all bunched up kill us." It's hard to successful with heroes and henchmen will greatly increase anyone's chances of failure in PvP events. I think replacing heroes with henchmen will only reduce the total number of people who HA/GvG. Before they nerfed a single person from using 3 heroes in HA there were a lot more people doing HA. Some even won the Hall of Heroes. I think the henchmen will be close to useless no matter what skills they have because you can't pick skills to match the current team build and control their placement etc..

One more thing.
I think the majority of the community feels that warriors are a "Fail" for anything Besides GvG and PvE. Four warriors vs four of any other profession equals a "fail" for warriors. No other melee class has weaker healing then a warrior. Healing Signet -40 armor. Compared to Sins who can get hugh armor boost with shadow arts. Lions Comfort disables rez sig for x amount of seconds. You know I've had a warrior for over 4 years and I've always hoped you would give them a better way to heal without using a secondary profession. I'm not saying a hugh heal. but atleast something that doesn't have unreasonable drawbacks. If I'm playing vs a warrior I love when he uses the healing signet. it's almost an instant death for him.

My Assassin is currently fighting his way through Prophecies and a couple of dungeons and high-end areas, while my Monk is maxing a few EotN titles.

The rest of my characters is happily doing Zaishen missions + quests in HM.

So much for PvE being dead.

"I play Guild Wars, so it can't be dead!" Not so sure that logic works.

I have very little faith in their use of testers after the Alpha. I find it unlikely that, in the event that they do get good players, they will fully utilize them or at least filter out the terrible ideas.

ONE MAJOR QUESTION:

While pvp hero's still be accessible and if so will we still be able to put golden weapons on them and retrieve em!

And why this question: quite simple I'm currently storing alot of gold items on those pvp hero's for future use, if they go unaccessible I need to know in front so I can remove them! But plz don't take away this storage way please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



Oh and plz I so hope not to many cryers will get in the testing teams, or they will kill gw entirely!

- Using a pre character to collect gifts wich will eventually be used for my mains titles.
-Doing Zquests to get coins to get another heavy pack wich i can trade for the stuff to get fow armor at last.
-Some casual pvp now and then. Anything without demanding jerks or **shrudders** ventrilo!

Right now I'm at work surfing guru. I was just before on AVS forums checking out the Watchmen reviews. Man can't wait to get it on blu.

While I'm on guru, I can't wait to get home to see my son and then play a bit of zquests. 4 more gold coins to get my heavy epack. I think I will sell it while the price is high then start working on another one for my warrior. He has too many damn armors and weapons.

Heroes need to be removed in GvG/HA TODAY. No one cares about any henchmen, for two reasons:

1. If the henchmen are bad, no one will use them.
2. If the henchmen are good, people will use them just like heroes, and the problem isn't solved.

What difference does it make. what if it's all real players using those builds. The only difference is that the real team would be harder to defeat. imho they should go back to allowing each player to use 3 heroes in HA and GvG this is how the game was advertiesed and sold. They are easier to defeat than a real team anyway. Easy faction and hero points as far as Im concerned.

Can we apply for the live test krewe yet? If not, any news when we will be able?

To the post above, you have no idea how much I would love to farm fame points with AI teams in HA again. They would however fail on the alter cap and relic maps, but winning the first 2 or 3 stages was too easy when we could use full H/H teams in HA.

Because then it would require 8 of them, thus cutting down the number of teams running obnoxious hero-synergistic builds.

Nobody enjoys fighting one-dimensional pressure builds like the three mentioned.

No it wouldn't. The AI does some things better than players, and the popular hero bars really press that to the maximum. Those heroes are much better than comparable players, especially on the teams they're usually run on.

Try seeing 3 good players react as quickly or co-ordinate as well as 3 smite heroes. It can't be done.

Thank you for letting us know what you guys are up to for a change.


Some advice from someone who knows little about GvG and HA and doesn't play anymore:

An interrupter henchman would be good if it knows what skills to interrupt. Avoid degen skills unless the degen skills have an added bonus on remove. Even in that case keep the numbers low.

Axe warriors should be limited to cleave and evicerate for axe elites. There should at least be a crip-slash sword guy. Perhaps devona could go swords for pvp. Be sure that at least one or two of the warriors can play linebacker. But whatever you do, no warrior henchmen that run any tactics skills until tactics gets fixed.

Monks should be protect, hybrid, and maybe a hex/condition remover. I'm tempted to ask for some RoJ smiters but those would be too dependent on one skill.

There should be R-spike rangers for HA, since farming fame will always be possible.

There should be a SH el, a MB one, and at least a water hexer.
